Program Description:
For more than 20 years, Annette Lee has helped hospice organizations strengthen compliance, improve quality, and prepare for surveys. She worked for the Medicare Administrative Contractor for a decade in Medical Review and Education. But when her own father elected hospice, she experienced end-of-life care from an entirely different perspective—not as a consultant, but as a daughter. Through this deeply personal journey, attendees will discover how everyday leadership decisions shape the experiences families remember for a lifetime.
This program connects operational excellence, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary teamwork, and compassionate care in a way that goes far beyond meeting the Conditions of Participation. You will leave with practical strategies to strengthen admissions, caregiver education, symptom management, interdisciplinary collaboration, anticipatory care planning, and organizational culture—all while creating meaningful experiences for patients and families.
This inspiring presentation reminds hospice leaders that compliance establishes the foundation, but compassion, anticipation, and presence are what transform excellent hospice care into an unforgettable legacy.
