Program Description: In this program the presenters - one is a hospice regulatory expert, one is a hospice billing expert -
review patient billing and clinical qualifications from referral to notice of election (NOE) to certification/recertification to discharge.
Also examined are requirements for each of these steps.

with oversight of Home Health and Hospice Consultants in Education, Recruitment, Orientation, Training, and Regulatory Guidance. Kerry also involved
in customer education related to outsourcing in Home Health and Hospice for Agency Start Up, Mock Survey, QAPI, ADR/UPIC, Accreditation information,
and education to agencies, and she provides subject matter expertise in Hospice regulations.
About the Presenter:
Jill Schuerman has over 14 years in hospice, serving as regional and national
Director of Reimbursement overseeing billing/collections for 17 agencies in 6 states, and collaborating with the Compliance officers in the
review of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and changes and the creation of related Policy and Procedures.Currently, Ms. Schuerman is the
Founder and CEO of Schuerman Business Consulting, LLC., which provides outsourced billing services, billing training, and billing due
diligence audits for hospice agencies. She has been an Associate Member of TAHCH since starting her business in 2016, as well as a member
of the Palmetto Home Health and Hospice Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group, and a Patron Member and Board Member of the
Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization. Ms. Schuerman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is a frequent speaker on hospice billing topics.
