In the wake of COVID-19, CMS has taken a number of steps to make it easier for patients to be treated remotely, using telehealth. Many home health and hospice agencies
have expressed interest in this treatment approach and are still evaluating whether or not to implement its use in their agency. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of

During his tenure, despite much uncertainty in the home health industry at the time, Almost Family acquired $160 million in annual revenues, including the largest transaction in the company’s history.
Prior to Almost Family, Bruenderman was the Senior Director of Development for ResCare, Inc., a national human services company with more than $1.6 billion in revenue and operations in 42 states. Bruenderman's strategic approach to developing new markets through selective acquisitions led to $350 million in growth for ResCare and launched the company into the Fortune 1000. Today, he has been involved in the purchase of over 125 health and human service companies.
Bruenderman received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville. While in college, he purchased several small businesses and credits his later success to that experience. His business background and legal education give him the skills and perspective to successfully negotiate transactions all the way through closing. Specifically, his almost two decades of involvement with strategic buyers gives him a unique insight into how they approach valuation, diligence and negotiation. "check off the list" to remain in compliance with regulations. But it's so much more than that. There's a reason that every successful organization in the world

Program Description: Many agencies are looking for more and more ways to trim the expenses from their overhead and
therefore recognize a stronger bottom line profit. One significant cost savings they take advantage of is outsourcing work that can easily be outsourced while
leaving the owners and operators in control of their businesses. There are many back office functions that can be outsourced such as payroll, billing and QA – but
accounting is an often overlooked back office function that can also be easily outsourced to provide the agency a better bottom line, reduced administrative
staff costs and less back office management needed. Not only can this be a cost savings but it can also really simplify the operations – less staff to manage
and knowing that someone who is skilled at that activity is handling it.

This program reviews the epidemiology of pain followed by a physiologic-based discussion to debate whether or not persons with dementia experience pain differently than cognitively intact individuals. Viewers will be able to develop tools to comprehensively assess pain in persons with dementia adapting an integrated approach that includes self-report (when possible), consideration of co-morbid conditions, pain behaviors, proxy report, and an empiric analgesic trial. the primary care physician’s practice, inpatient care, and home health is
costly for the U.S. healthcare system and can result in poor outcomes. Home health and primary care in a patient-centered
medical home (PCMH) has a role in addressing this need through a new approach with better care-
team collaboration.
PCMH is a patient-centric model of healthcare delivery based on ongoing, personal relationships
between patients, physicians, and healthcare teams, which includes the patient as a team member. In this program a primary care physician
describes how a Texas physician practice transformed into a medical home, adopted PCMH
strategies and partnered with hospitalists and preferred home health partners to improve care coordination,
