Grace Werckle has worked in the Homecare Industry for over 27 years. She has had the wonderful opportunity to serve in

and specialty in QAPI, OASIS documentation and training and Regulatory Compliance. She has held both OASIS and Coding certifications in the past years.

Kimberly R. Stuart practices appellate law, commercial litigation, and employment and labor law.
As the oldest of her generation in a very large Italian family from Brooklyn (who got to Texas as quickly as she could),
Kimberly learned early that to be heard, you have to get into the action, make your point quickly, and be ready to defend it. Kimberly puts this
experience to use in her practice by dealing with her clients openly and frankly.
Kimberly began her legal career as a briefing attorney to Judge Margaret Garner Mirabal on the Court of Appeals for
the First District of Texas. That experience helped her to identify what it takes to preserve a record at trial and what judges look for in appellate briefing.
Kimberly’s representative employment law experience includes successfully defending employers in FLSA wage actions
and Title VII litigation. She has also effectively represented employees and employers in matters related to covenants not to compete and

Sheila Davis is an accomplished Healthcare administration executive with comprehensive experience directing
successful operational strategies and driving academic and research facility. Her background includes extensive years of excellent experience overseeing healthcare operations while
spearheading financial reporting and management, budgeting, staff recruitment, revenue generation, and service line expansion. Ms. Davis was one of HomeCare University’s inaugural
class, earning her certification as a Certified Home/Hospice Care Executive (CHCE). Additionally, she excels at propelling healthcare initiatives and policies while driving optimal
facility efficiency and productivity within multimillion-dollar businesses.
Ms. Davis serves on the NAHC Strategic Planning Committee, Advisory Council, Quality Data Implementation Committee, Rural Advisory Council, Finance Committee &
Home Care Workforce Action Alliance; PDHCA Advisory Board; HCAOA Medical Advisory Board, Quality Data Review Committee & VA Committee; TAHC&H Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee,
Private Pay Committee, Membership Committee, and Community Care Services Committee. She is also a founding member of the Home Care Action Alliance; member of the Texas State Preventive Health
Advisory Committee (SPHAC); serves on the WellSky Home Client Advisory Board; and is an ACHC Certified Consultant. Ms. Davis is engaged as the Senior Executive Vice President, Area Operations
at Always Best Care Senior Services.
About the Presenter(s):
Erin Vallier earned an Individually Structured Liberal Arts degree in Physical Science, Psychology, and Music
Performance from the University of Colorado, Denver. She earned a Masters in Healthcare Administration and Management, with a Project Management Specialty, from Colorado State University.
After earning her bachelors, Erin transitioned to the home care space with a passion bred from personal and family experience. She has held management roles in the QA, intake, OASIS, and HR departments,
and has helped facilitate numerous successful state and CHAP surveys for the organization she worked for. Erin was responsible for maintaining clinical documentation compliance, writing and
revising policies and procedures, and for writing and facilitating new hire training for all clinical employees, including EMR and OASIS education. Her last role in home health was marketing - a
natural segway to her role at AlayaCare – US Midmarket Director of Sales – where she leads a growing team of account executives.

Program Description: Many agencies are looking for more and more ways to trim the expenses from their overhead and
therefore recognize a stronger bottom line profit. One significant cost savings they take advantage of is outsourcing work that can easily be outsourced while
leaving the owners and operators in control of their businesses. There are many back office functions that can be outsourced such as payroll, billing and QA – but
accounting is an often overlooked back office function that can also be easily outsourced to provide the agency a better bottom line, reduced administrative
staff costs and less back office management needed. Not only can this be a cost savings but it can also really simplify the operations – less staff to manage
and knowing that someone who is skilled at that activity is handling it.
In this session we will discuss which scenarios make the most sense to outsource the accounting function of the agency, how it works and what
solutions are out there to assist in finding the right mix of outsourcing the work but still maintaining control.

between a Stock Purchase and an Asset Purchase as well as what information should be available and presentable for any potential acquisition - both from
the seller's perspective and the buyers'. For those not looking to sell soon, we'll also discuss steps you can take now to increase your potential sales
price and attractiveness to buyers down the line. Even if you never sell, being prepared to do so sets you up as a successful agency.
