The education is designed to expand the knowledge of the nurse as well as meet the Texas Board of Nursing licensure requirement.

Program Learning Outcome:

  • Participants will actively engage in the learning activity and indicate an intent to change or enhance their practice in the area of geriatric care by identifying signs of elder abuse, complying with both Texas and federal laws pertaining to elder abuse, and identifying medication issues affecting the elderly population to promote optimal patient outcomes.
