About the Presenter(s): Mike Simione joined the SimiTree team in 2011 and has over 12 years of healthcare consulting experience. As Managing Director of Financial Consulting for SimiTree, Michael Simione heads a team of financial experts whose work leads the nation each year in the number of cost reports prepared for Medicare-certified hospice agencies. In addition,he also collaborates with SimiTree’s growth and operational teams to assist hospice agencies with strategic planning and operational assessments that allow organizations to leverage their strengths while simultaneously addressing their weaknesses in order to improve financial performance. Simione’s areas of expertise include, budgeting, data analytics and benchmarking, and his extensive work with SimiTree has included development of comprehensive financial, clinical, and staffing analysis tools to improve client efficiencies and financial performance. Michael Simione has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Bucknell University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Quinnipiac University.

About the Presenter(s): Melynda Capps Lee has been a SimiTree consulting leader and interim executive for provider organizations for more than 8 years and is a nationally recognized expert in organizational leadership and development, strategic planning, and learning strategy, as well as communications and public relations. Melynda previously served as a hospice administrator and home and community-based services development executive in Florida and Georgia for 8 years and is a former board member and education committee member for the Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She is a co-founder of the Greater Atlanta Hospice-Veteran Partnership. Melynda is an expert trainer of HCBS professionals and frequently serves as faculty at state and national association conferences, including NAHC and NHPCO.
