Program Description: The Hospice Care Index was added to hospice quality reporting in the fall of 2021 and is
a big move by CMS to claims-based quality measurement in hospice. Now that the HCI is available in agency data and public reporting, hospices must get to
know the background of this new quality reporting measure, what the components of this rating scale are, and the potential impact for you and your agency.
