Program Description: In this program the presenter provides an overview of health care fraud and abuse issues that are common
in health care, particularly in home based community care. The program emphasizes operational mistakes and pitfalls that lead to False Claims, Anti-Kickback, OIG Exclusionary and Civil Monetary Penalty violations.
The discussion will discuss strategies associated with how such mistakes can be prevented and a review of cases with associated penalties as it relates to similar violations.
