Program Description: This program describes the components of the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) and the financial impact for hospice providers who do not meet the reporting requirements. You will learn the changes in the HQRP that were finalized in the Hospice FY 2022 payment rule including the new Hospice Care Index (claims-based) measure, an update on the Hospice Visits in the Last Days of Life (HVLDL) measure, STAR rating for the hospice CAHPS survey and removal of the seven HIS measures from Care Compare. It also provides an update on the HOPE tool.

Melinda Gaboury
, with more than 28 years in home care, has over 18 years of executive speaking and educating experience, including extensive day to day interaction with home care and hospice professionals. She routinely conducts Home Care and Hospice Reimbursement Workshops and speaks at state association meetings throughout the country. Melinda has profound experience in Medicare PDGM training, billing, collections, case-mix calculations, chart reviews and due diligence. UPIC, RA, ADR & TPE appeals with all Medicare MACs have become the forefront of Melinda’s current impact on the industry. She is currently serving on the NAHC/HHFMA Advisory Board and Work Group and is Associate Director on the Home Care Association of Florida Board of Directors. Melinda is also the author of the Home Health OASIS Guide toOASIS-D1.
