Program Description: Volunteers are an important part of a hospice organization’s operations, compliance, and quality performance. Where would we be without our volunteers? In a world where technology is an important part of everyday life, successful volunteer professionals leverage technology to develop a volunteer recruitment and retention strategy. Gone are the days of posting volunteer opportunities at the local coffee shop, library, or the current volunteer recruitment websites. To stand out, volunteer professionals need to understand how to develop a volunteer recruitment and retention strategy that includes an analysis of the current volunteer program to identify what is working well and not so well. Using that information and leveraging what we will be discussing in this session, your volunteer program will grow in ways that you may have never imagined.
