Program Description:This workshop will be presented by a panel of home health, hospice, community care, and pediatric providers to discuss how to develop an effective Emergency Preparedness Plan with a focus on assessing hazard vulnerability, infection control, continuity of operations, and much more!

Program Learning Outcome: Participants will actively engage in the learning activity and indicate an intent to change or enhance their practice by identifying specific actions agencies must take before and after developing an emergency preparedness plan.

About the Presenters:
Charlene Drake
is an experienced professional with over 25 years in the health care industry. She currently serves as Area Vice President for PCS focusing on Community relations with Texas Home Health, an AccentCare Company. Charlene has been employed with Texas Home Health for over 20 years and has served in many capacities including PCS and Home Health. Charlene is the mother of four and grandmother of 6 who loves travel and New York theater.

About the Presenters:
Kristen Robison
has been an RN since 2006 and has worked in pediatric home health since 2003. She is currently the VP of Governmental Affairs for Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health. She has served as Chair of the TAHCH Pediatric Committee for the last 3 years. She has also served the last 2 years on the TAHCH board of directors in the Pediatric auspice and was recently elected President-elect. Kristen is a strong advocate for home health and hospice providers and the clients they serve.

About the Presenters:
Brandis Wilmore
is the founder and Administrator of Be Healthy at Home, a licensed and certified home health agency located in Buda, TX. Her background is emergency medicine where she started her career as an EMT in Austin. She continued her education in the field of nursing and worked in many areas of the acute system which eventually lead her to home health. She is a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos with a focus in Business Administration. She currently sits on the Board for TAHCH and represents Small Agency. She also is the Chair for the Medicare/Hospice Committee. Brandis is currently the disaster coordinator for her agency and works closely with her local CERT team to anticipate and act on her emergency preparedness plan for her clients and staff.

About the Presenters:
Amy Ives
has been a nurse for 23 years with the last 8 in the hospice arena. She is currently the Director for Peterson Hospice in Kerrville, Texas. She has served as a member of the TAHC Hospice Committee for 5 years, and also as chair of the Hospice Committee for the past year.
