The homecare community has been working tirelessly to understand the 2011 Final Regulations.
The most bothersome of these new regulations has been the F2F requirements. This rule could have a drastic financial impact for
agencies that accept new patients that were not seen by their primary care physician in the allotted time. The F2F requirements
are not going away, so this program helps you understand this new regulation and the presenter discusses some of the numerous
problems agencies have encountered since.
Program Goal: To assist the viewer in recognizing the 2011 Final Regulations
requiring patients to have a scheduled visit with their physician as a condition of home health agency’s reimbursement.
About the Presenter: Jennifer Warfield, RN, BSN, HCS-D, COS-C is the Education Director for PPS Plus Software.

sanctions and or penalties for missing or inadequate documentation. This program will help you learn to avoid pitfalls of poor
documentation, recognize areas which are likely to trigger an audit and detect items that frequently contradict care deemed to be
reasonable and necessary. Additionally, you will learn ways to safeguard your agency by properly responding to ADR’s and audits. Presentation Date: 08.13.2015

About the Presenter: Jennifer Warfield As a well-known homecare coding and OASIS specialist with
extensive nursing experience, Jennifer Warfield is an informational ally for hundreds of home health agencies across the country. Certified as an official
ICD-9 and ICD-10 trainer, Jennifer provides education on important industry topics, including coding, OASIS and documentation. Her passion for being an
educational resource keeps her traveling across the country to agencies and associations, conducting educational workshops and speaking at numerous home
care conferences. Her expert knowledge plays an integral role in the development of OASIS Analysis Plus, PPS Plus Software’s OASIS analysis software.
Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, a home care coding
specialist – diagnosis certification from the Board of Medical Specialty Coding in Gaithersburg, Maryland and earned her Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical
from the OASIS Certificate & Competency Board in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is author of two ICD-9 coding guidebooks, Tips, Tricks & Tidbits for Home Health

Program Description: The face-to-face encounter documentation
has been a challenge for the home health industry, especially since the Medicare contractors have reported that preliminary
results for the Probe and Educate Review were not favorable. We still have much to learn when it comes to achieving better
results. If you have already received your five ADRs, use this presentation to learn how to make improvements going forward.
Additionally, of course, for those who have either not received any ADRs or those who have received denials, this is your
opportunity to learn effective strategies for making corrections. It’s important to note that accurate F2F documentation is
an essential part of pre-claim reviews. Join PPS Plus’s Education Director, Jennifer Warfield, as she explains and defines
required documentation, how to receive cooperation from providers, and how to respond to the ADRs for F2F documentation.
