Laura Barnett serves as a Vice President of Interoperability Sales. In this role, she drives the growth of Axxess’ partnerships and integrations to cultivate our partners and clients’ success. Prior to this role, she served on both the marketing and communications teams at Axxess. Before joining Axxess in January 2018, Laura previously served as the Vice President at communications consulting firm Spaeth Communications, where she helped execute the communications plan for the largest political action committee supporting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign. At Spaeth, Laura also coached C-level executives on media training and presentation skills. Prior to that, she handled communications for commercial law firm Gray Reed & McGraw LLP., and a suburban Dallas school district. Laura also spent eight years as a news anchor and managing editor for KTXS-TV in Abilene, Tex. Laura is actively involved in the community as a member of the 2022 class of Leadership Dallas. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Collin County and as a member of the City of McKinney Animal Services Facility committee. She is also the Vice President of Communications for the Dallas Alumnae of Sigma Kappa. Laura graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
