Robert Friedman has been a HPM physician for 22 years. He is also a certified Hospice Medical Director and a Fellow with the AAHPM. He has a wide variety of experience in HPM, including his present role as Chief Medical Officer for Hospice Austin. His activities include administrative, regulatory, clinical, and provider supervisory duties, in addition to providing education to staff and the community. He has Hospice and Palliative Care experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Friedman has presented a wide variety of topics over the years. He has significant regulatory experience, including experience with Probe and MIC Audits. He is a member of the NHPCO Regulatory Committee. In addition, he is a Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization board member, an item writer for the HMDCB, and is actively involved in the Texas MOST Coalition.
