Program Description:This program provides subscribers
with knowledge of the current evidence-based standard of care management guidelines in the area of Wound Care. Understanding wound
management guidelines allows care providers to make appropriate decisions for their patients to ensure optimal outcomes. Management guidelines include:
Pressure Ulcers
Diabetic Ulcers
Arterial and Venous Ulcers
Burns
Wound Care for Hospice patients
Program Learning Outcome:
Learners will actively engage in the learning activity and indicate an intent to change their practice by applying
evidence-based wound management protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Presenter: Furgan (Alex) Khan started his career in 1996 as a U.S. Army Nurse and was assigned to Brooks Army Medical Center Burn unit
at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Khan completed his Master's degree in Nursing from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia and
Post Master's from University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Khan has 20+ years of experience in Wound management in different clinical
settings. Mr. Khan currently works as an Advanced Practice Nurse and delivers care to clients at home, in clinic, nursing home and in assisted living facilities.
About the Presenter: Dr. Ket Davis is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. She received her Bachelors of Nursing Science degree from
Grambling State University in 2004. She attended Grambling State University from 2010-2012 where she completed her Master of Nursing Science with a concentration in Family Practice.
She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2012. Dr. Davis relocated to Fort Worth, Texas in 2012 where she became staff at the John Peter Smith Hospital from 2012-2013.
She later began working at Metrocare University in 2013. Dr. Davis went on to finish her doctorate training at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in 2017.
Dr. Davis currently provides comprehensive medical care & wound care services to the clients at home, in her clinic, in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
