Program Description: The shift to electronic medical records, digital systems,
and cloud computing has made capturing and compiling large amounts of data much easier. However, despite having large
amounts of data, providers are generally faced with the challenge of not knowing how to leverage the data beyond basic
reporting. Moreover, in the home and community care sector in particular, visit, operational information, and
clinical data is often stored in paper format -- or if is it digital, resides in siloed databases. These system
deficiencies make it near impossible to gain a holistic view of operations and eliminates the ability to “pivot” data.
The catalyst for this change is to be obsessed about data-driven decision making. The rise of business intelligence (BI)

Tony is responsible for the design and development of the Axxess Training and Certification Program. During his tenure, he has been able to advance Axxess’ educational products all
while decreasing seat time for training while improving outcomes.
Tony comes to Axxess with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare space, with a primary focus on home health. He spent 10 years at the LHC Group beginning his career as a
clinician and then advancing to corporate training where he designed and developed workforce management solutions, decreased onboarding time and turnover, created OASIS training,
clinical specialty programs and survey readiness education. Tony also served as a consultant to other teams in the organization, detailing how to better deliver content and improve
employee engagement. Since 2018, he has served as a professional consultant for EMR system optimization, survey readiness and documentation review.
Tony is a volunteer WVU Extension Master Gardener Program, where he leads community education efforts related to agricultural practices, sustainable living, raised bed gardening
and a seed bank. He is also active in his local rotary chapter and the Pay It Forward Program, where he helps collect and distribute gently used items to people in need.
Tony holds degrees in physical therapy and healthcare administration from Fairmont State University and a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from West Virginia University.

He has managed pediatric programs over the past 11 years with as many as 220 licensed nurses and therapist in the program. He has created and implemented processes related to safety, skills competency, nurse and therapist recruitment, compliance, QAPI, and risk management in pediatrics programs. Lynne Brooks, RN, CPHRM is a Registered Nurse and Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager with more than 25 years of health care management experience with Adult, Pediatric and Community Care Home Care programs in Texas. She has owned her own Home Care Agency and now operates a large non-profit Agency with 10 offices across the state and its subsidiary For-Profit Agency with 14 offices across the state, along with a CDS operation. Belinda Williams, OTR has more than 25 years experience in healthcare including psych, geriatric, acute and pediatric. To date, she has more than 15 year pediatric experience and still enjoys evaluating and treating. Over the years, her passion for assessing and treating children with sensory related dysfunction lead her to develop a private handwriting training program, group treatment programs and to facilitate numerous professional and parent trainings. As Executive Director of Education and Quality Assurance for THERAPY 2000, she monitors and facilitates regulatory and ethics compliance and performance improvement initiatives for the Agency.
