Jerre van den Bent received his training as a physical therapist in his native Holland. He came to Texas in 1993, and has worked in
pediatric home care since then. In May of 2000, Jerre launched THERAPY 2000 out of the basement of his home. THERAPY 2000 quickly became a leader in the in-home pediatric therapy industry. The company acquired
Green Apple Therapy in 2017. The two companies currently provide services to more than 3000 families with a workforce of almost 400 physical, occupational and speech therapists. Jerre is a passionate volunteer
for the Texas Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice. He has held numerous leadership roles in both organizations. His ability to raise funds for various Political Action
Committees has earned him the nickname “The Dutch Arm Twister”. Jerre regularly travels to the Capitol in Austin to meet with Texas legislators, advocating on behalf of the profession of physical therapy and the home care industry.

Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence that is concentrated on developing algorithms that
analyze data and predict future events with tremendous accuracy. It is a technology that is well suited to identify hidden trends and
patterns in vast amounts of data, not visible to the human eye. Jonathan Vallée, CTO of AlayaCare, an end-to-end home healthcare software
solution, discusses the importance of collecting and analyzing data, provide real examples of feasible tech solutions organizations
could implement today, explore the insights gained from utilizing machine learning, and present the results of two studies on applying
machine learning to streams of incoming remote patient monitoring vitals for decision support.

Affairs Committee since the ‘90s and is currently board of directors for The Home Care and Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA); a

and hospice agencies. She also chairs the Women in Leadership group for HHFMA. Marcylle enjoys speaking on various subjects such as mentoring,

Bill Simione III serves as Managing Principal at Simione Healthcare Consultants, leading all consulting, as well as
product and service delivery to support home care and hospice business improvement. He previously managed Simione's Financial Consulting division, and has been actively involved in the
home care and hospice industry for more than 25 years. Bill has held many interim management positions over the years, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and
Director of Patient Accounting for numerous home care/hospice organizations ranging from single agencies to multi-state organizations and hospital-owned postacute entities. During his

Program Description: Most home health and hospice providers have one or two experiences at buying or
selling an agency. This can make the task daunting, confusing, frustrating, and just downright confounding. This presentation reveals an
open discussion between an experience mergers and acquisitions broker and an experienced mergers and acquisitions attorney in the home health and hospice fields. Both discuss:
why someone might want to sell their agency
why someone might want to buy an agency
when someone might not want to sell their agency
when a potential purchaser may decide if a particular agency is worth what the seller wants
While they discuss the regulatory ins and outs of the process, they will also discuss the practical side in making a decision to either buy or sell an agency.

Program Description: Home Health Providers in Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida or Texas are
gearing up for the implementation of the Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) in their states.
Following the Palmetto GBA RCD training presented 6/19/19, two distinguished Illinois providers - both board members of the Illinois HomeCare & Hospice Council - presented results
of preclaim review and review choice in Illinois - the first state to begin. They present data from Illinois, issues impacting Illinois providers, and each one presents their own agency's experiences - along with
practical tips and tested processes to help you be successful with RCD.
RCD Goals
Assist CMS in developing improved methods to identify, investigate, and prosecute potential fraud
Protect the Medicare Trust Fund
Reduce the rate of improper payments
Improve provider compliance with Medicare rules and requirements
Offers providers increased flexibility and choice
Risk-based changes to reward providers who show compliance with policies

About the Presenters: Sheila Guither MSN RN, CWOCN, COS-C currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Illinois Home Care and Hospice Council.
She works as the Manager of Clinical Practice and Staff Development for OSF Healthcare- Home Care and Post-Acute Services in Peoria, IL.
Throughout the Illinois Preclaim Review demonstration, OSF achieved a 100% affirmation rate without compromising access to care.
Sheila earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from OSF Saint Francis College of Nursing, her BSN from Mennonite College of Nursing in
Bloomington, IL and her Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
She has worked in the Home Care field for 23 years serving in various clinical and leadership roles. She resides in Bloomington, IL with her husband and three children.
Cheryl Adams RN, BSN, MBA with 40 years of clinical nursing and healthcare executive experience. Cheryl has been the administrator of At-Home
Health Care of Sparta Community Hospital since its inception in 1996. Cheryl is responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining the business plan for the hospital
based home health agency known as At-Home Health Care. The agency under her direction has a history of multiple deficiency free surveys, a reduction in acute care
hospitalization rate, improved patient satisfaction and implementation of a telehealth program. Cheryl is credentialed as a Home Health ICD-10 Coder and OASIS Specialist.
Cheryl is committed to having a voice for the home care industry and the people that are served. She feels it is important that leaders of home care ensure access to care
but also quality of care to those we serve all while staying compliant with rules and regulations of home health. With the implementation of the pilot program of
Pre-claim Review in IL, Cheryl has succeeded in achieving a 100% affirmation rate through the education and implementation of processes to ensure accurate,
complete documentation.

Program Description: Homebound patients deserve an opportunity to receive vaccines
in their own home and several laws and regulations govern home care on the best practices of this option. This informative program
provides practical guidance on the regulatory and policy expectations of an effective vaccination program at your agency.
While agencies are able to administer many vaccines including influenza, Hepatitis B,
pneumonia and perform TB testing, via Texas Administrative Code ch. 558.303, there is legislation moving through the Texas
Legislative process right now that once signed by our Governor, will allow home health agencies to administer the COVID-19
vaccine and any FDA approved or authorized Vaccine created to mitigate or treat a communicable disease. In this program, you
will not only learn about CDC Guidance on storage, handling, transport and administration requirements of vaccines, but you
will have plenty of take away tools to bolster your policies and logs and leave confident on how to bill for these services.
