Presentation Date | September 10, 2024
Program Description: This training program addresses the unique therapeutic paths that children with
chronic or progressive conditions may demonstrate and will offer a lens through which we can view and analyze along the way. Context and
perspective are key when selecting assessment tools and interpreting findings, as well as when making decisions around medical necessity,
dosage, and interventions. Routines and priorities unique to the individual child/family are particularly important for children with chronic
or progressive conditions, given their complexity, and best practice for gathering and utilizing this vital information is addressed.
Additionally, perspective and language around goal development and collaboration with caregivers is explored. There are times in the
life of a child with a chronic or progressive condition where strategic use of the Maintenance Level / Prevent Deterioration frequency/dosage
level (as outlined in the TMPPM), may be most appropriate. This training program also describes the benefits of this dosage level, and
how it can be utilized most effectively.

Program Description:
Dentists, Auto Shops and Pizza Parlors have all used the power of satisfied current customers to
draw new ones. Whether through Facebook Fans, Google Reviews or Yelp Yappers, the influence of
consumers on buying behavior has changed marketing in this country forever. Amazingly, online consumer
feedback about Home Care is almost non-existent. And, there are a range of easy and almost
cost-free ways to make it happen! This huge oversight is a massive opportunity for those in the
Home Care business who act quickly. In this program you will learn economical, fool-proof ways to exploit this
enormous gap resulting in more clients -- and the ability to attract more quality staff to serve them. Your view
of marketing Home Care services will be turned completely upside down. Presentation Date: 08.11.2016
Learning Outcome: Upon completion of this program, the viewer will be able to:
Discuss economical ways to use social media in successful marketing to clients and to attract higher quality staff.
About the Presenters: Roger McManus earned his undergraduate and graduate MBA degrees from Wake Forest University.
Throughout his career, he has focused on the sources of information that allow owners of small businesses, like home care agencies, to gain faster growth and greater freedom.
He capsulized those objectives in his 2011 book, Entrepreneurial Insanity, which he is currently restructuring in partnership with Tim Rowan to specifically address the issues
facing owners of home care agencies in a book titled, Entrepreneurial Insanity in the Home Care Industry to be published Fall 2016.

Program Description: Home Health rehab reforms have
modified many therapy requirements including elimination of the 10-visit threshold, objective testing, and
ongoing re-assessment re]inement to name a few. Auditors have focused on the rehab elements of patient claims

to achieve cost reduction goals.
Therapy ST/LT goal production, skilled per visit documentation, patient compliance,
caregiver involvement, and discharge planning and management are all addressed by a PPS-compliant, objective test-based
therapy evaluation. Clinical case examples will outline the good and bad in current therapy documentation, with strategies
to manage successful therapy programs. Start today on rewiring your rehab concession to assure a skilled, audit-proof therapy program. Presentation Date: 08.12.2015
Program Objectives: Upon completion of this program, the viewer will be able to:

seen as additional work that can be done when all the fires have been put out, until compliance becomes the bonfire we can’t ignore. In this presentation, there is a discussion of the day-to-day issues facing
home-based care agencies, and managing those issues while working your compliance program. Also discussed is how to document efficiently so that completing your compliance is just a matter of running
a report from your EMR. We can’t eliminate emergencies, but we can restructure to stop duplicating work and allow you and your team the one thing more important than coffee; TIME!

Program Description: Effective September 2021, Target, probe and Educate (TPE) audits were reimplemented by most
Medicare Administrative Contractors around the country. TPE audits are merely the latest iteration of prepayment reviews being conducted by CMS contractors.
While the government has placed some restrictions on their use, contractors continue to exercise great latitude in their scope and the length that they are
imposed. Similarly, contractors remain in control of postpayment audits conducted and suspension actions recommended to CMS. In this webinar,
attorneys Lorraine Rosado and Lester Johnson will discuss these enforcement actions and outline the adverse impact each action can have on your
home health or hospice agency.

Program Description: In order to curtail the continued presence of fraud, waste, and abuse within
government programs, specifically home health and hospice, the OIG has implemented the use of data analytics to highlight providers who are outliers
in terms of billing trends. It is essential that providers become aware of how their data analytics will be observed by an outside party.
Along those same lines, emphasis is now being placed on provider-administered compliance programs. Successfully administered compliance
programs will be key if a provider’s data analytics ever come into question. Use this presentation to gain insight from the original Federal
prosecutors in the Dr. Roy case who successfully led the indictment for one of the largest fraud cases in home health.
Presentation Date: 08.09.2017
Learning Outcomes(s): Participants will actively engage in the learning activity and
indicate an intent to change or enhance their practice by implementing compliance training and education within the agency’s operations.

Program Description:Texas Home and Community Support Service Agencies (HCSSAs) have experience with preparing, implementing, and
being surveyed upon Emergency Preparedness Plans. However, now certified home health and hospice agencies also have Federal Emergency Preparedness requirements with which to comply.
This presentation seeks to compare and contrast the Texas and Federal requirements and offer suggestions for how certified agencies can augment their current plans to
remain compliant with minimum rework. Each agency will understand what requirements they must meet based upon their category(ies) of licensure.
Obtaining policies and procedures and a plan is one thing, being prepared for survey by understanding and implementing your plan is the next step.
This presentation will illuminate the checklist agencies can use to assure they are survey ready regarding Emergency Preparedness.
More importantly, they will have taken important steps to insure the safety and stability of their clients, their staff members, and their companies.
No one can totally prevent disasters and emergencies, but focused preparation will help mitigate their impacts.
Program Learning Outcome:
Learners will apply disaster preparedness rules, regulatory changes, and requirements related to patient care during a disaster into their disaster preparedness planning and agency operations.

Program Description: Prior to Jan. 13, 2018, many of the things we “kinda” did okay, such as care coordination,
comprehensive assessment and plan of care management, became mandatory measures under the new Conditions of Participation. And agencies have struggled!
Surveyors continue to site quality of care, care coordination and care planning collectively as one of the top two deficiencies for agencies across the board.
By having an in depth understanding of Medicare’s definition of the four “C’s” along with how they build upon each other will lead to more streamlined processes,
develop effective care coordination practices and provide better, more patient-centered plans of care thereby helping to “survey proof” your agencies.
Program Learning Outcome: Participants will actively engage in the learning activity and indicate an
intent to change their practice by developing effective care coordination practices in line with the updated home health conditions of participation to contribute to improved patient outcomes.
