Program Description: Administrator’s and Clinical Supervisors never have "enough time". Compliance tends to get pushed to the back burner because it’s
seen as additional work that can be done when all the fires have been put out, until compliance becomes the bonfire we can’t ignore. In this presentation, there is a discussion of the day-to-day issues facing
home-based care agencies, and managing those issues while working your compliance program. Also discussed is how to document efficiently so that completing your compliance is just a matter of running
a report from your EMR. We can’t eliminate emergencies, but we can restructure to stop duplicating work and allow you and your team the one thing more important than coffee; TIME!

at an adult Home Health Agency. She started her consulting company with her business partner in 2013 and since then has had the opportunity to work with Home Health and Hospice
clients across the US with a focus in Texas.

Medicare patients and private insurance patients, it is most imperative for agencies to turn to technology when performing intake and
insurance verification and prior authorizations for patients. Learn how to proactively, with technology, collect all of the intake
paperwork from the patient, financially counsel the patient and their family, collect necessary copays and deductibles, and much more before the nurse makes her

About the Presenter(s): Tony Meluzio is the Senior Content Manager for Axxess, the leading technology innovator for healthcare at home.
Tony is responsible for the design and development of the Axxess Training and Certification Program. During his tenure, he has been able to advance Axxess’ educational products all
while decreasing seat time for training while improving outcomes.
Tony comes to Axxess with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare space, with a primary focus on home health. He spent 10 years at the LHC Group beginning his career as a
clinician and then advancing to corporate training where he designed and developed workforce management solutions, decreased onboarding time and turnover, created OASIS training,
clinical specialty programs and survey readiness education. Tony also served as a consultant to other teams in the organization, detailing how to better deliver content and improve
employee engagement. Since 2018, he has served as a professional consultant for EMR system optimization, survey readiness and documentation review.
Tony is a volunteer WVU Extension Master Gardener Program, where he leads community education efforts related to agricultural practices, sustainable living, raised bed gardening
and a seed bank. He is also active in his local rotary chapter and the Pay It Forward Program, where he helps collect and distribute gently used items to people in need.
Tony holds degrees in physical therapy and healthcare administration from Fairmont State University and a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from West Virginia University.
