Apryl Swafford began her nursing career in 1993, obtaining a BSN from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She transitioned into home health in late 1997 working PRN and weekends while learning her way and has spent the majority of the years since working home health in some capacity. She has worked as a field clinician/case manager, clinical manager and leader of a cardiopulmonary specialty program. During her tenure at the last two positions, she was responsible for chart audits, OASIS review and coding plus management of a team of nurses, therapist and home health aides.
